Heartsong Summer Adventure Program
Where Nature Sings and Adventures Begin!
While the Heartsong Learning Collective children attend year-round, our summer program is a special time when we welcome families in our broader communities seeking a place to play, learn, and grow during the summer months.
We are passionate about fostering community, self-confidence, imagination and creativity but most importantly, fun! During our time together we focus on free play, exploration, games, crafts, and adventure that encourage a deeper appreciation and reverence for the natural world. We follow the inspiration and interests of the group, allowing campers to express and discover new parts of themselves while having fun outdoors.
In addition to free exploration and imaginative play, we offer activities that inspire creativity and imagination, including painting, drawing, nature crafts, wild foraging, nature wisdom, whittling, stories, song, dance and more. Our campers are encouraged to let their imaginations and spirits run wild.
Our summer camp is open to children ages 4-9. Base camp is located at the Heartsong Center just 20 minutes east of Bellingham. Our five open acres that offer our children the space and freedom to express their natural joy and exuberance. From here, we often go on adventures to local nature sites in our Adventure Van that is equipped with everything needed for a fun and safe journey. Our experienced and certified drivers are experts at navigating the local roads, and they are also knowledgeable about the history and ecology of the region. Our Adventure Van is equipped with all necessary safety equipment, including booster seats, first aid kits and emergency supplies.
Space is limited as we are dedicated to creating an emotionally and physically safe and inclusive environment where every child feels like their whole self is welcomed, valued and they belong.
At the end of the day, our campers return home, with a deeper appreciation for the natural world and newfound confidence in their abilities. Our summer program is more than just a place to have fun - it's a community that fosters kindness, teamwork, and curiosity. We can't wait to welcome your child to our summer camp and help them make memories that will last a lifetime!
Please pre-register. Space is limited and fills quickly.

Additional Information
Food and What to Bring:
We'll provide a nutritious morning snack and take into account any dietary restrictions your child may have. To ensure your child's well-being throughout the day, we kindly request that you pack their lunch with wholesome foods low in sugar, as we usually harvest lots of fruit in the summer, and a water bottle. They usually eat more than you think they will so pack extra.
Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather including hats, sunscreen, swim wear and extra layers. While we have shelter options if necessary, we will be mostly outdoors. Your child can store extra clothing or weather-specific attire in their backpack.
When sending items with your child, like toys, please be mindful they will not be distracting. We ask that no weapons or toys that may instigate conflict be brought. We cannot take responsibility for items that may get broken or misplaced during our activities. Your understanding is greatly appreciated.
